Our Mission

Our Mission!

The Welman Project connects schools and nonprofits with the community in ways that ignite creativity, environmental activism, and social responsibility.
We serve as a free resource, distributing surplus materials from local companies for creative reuse in the classroom and beyond.

FILL A CLASSROOM, NOT A LANDFILL!

Want to Donate?

We’re a tiny team and our calendar helps us best prepare our even smaller space, so we are typically booked out a few weeks. Thanks for your patience!
All donations are done via appointment!  Click here to see what we can and cannot accept and book a spot!

Want to Get Stuff?

Do you qualify to receive free items? See here to check!
If you're looking for a specific item, please fill out our Request Form at thewelmanproject.org/getstuff.html and our Donation Coordinator Olivia will do her best to get back to you!

How to Volunteer!

We absolutely couldn’t function without the support of our incredible volunteers! Anyone can make our community stronger by giving their time, and we’d love for you to spend that time with us. We offer plenty of opportunities for all skill and age levels throughout the year, and we can provide credit for student volunteer hours through any of our programs.
Please note that we cannot accept court-ordered community service volunteers at this time.
